We’ve reached the final of the Yorkshire Post Rural Awards

What a summer we’re having!

The team here at Church Hill Farm are celebrating again after hearing the news that we have reached the final of yet another award!

Further to shortlist success for Clive Soanes Broilers in the Farmers’ Weekly Awards and Mel’s Jackson’s double shortlist success for Farm Worker of the Year at both the Farmers’ Weekly and British Farming Awards, we have reached the final of the Rural Business category in the sixth Yorkshire Post Rural Awards.

Our MD, Ben is delighted with the news: “We’re proud of our rural roots and our 75-year heritage. We’re very proud to be recognised as a leading rural Yorkshire business and are looking forward to celebrating the achievements of all rural businesses later this month.”

We face strong competition from fellow finalists, Glencroft, James Wilding Joinery, Red Stag Media and How Stean Gorge and we’ll learn whether we have been successful at an awards ceremony at The Pavilions in Harrogate on Thursday, 29th September. The judges include Charles Mills from Yorkshire Agricultural Society, Sophie McCandlish and Emma Ryan from the Yorkshire Post, farming writer, Chris Berry and Jennifer Costello from the NFU.

Wish us luck!
