Our Farms

Our chicken-rearing business is called Clive Soanes Broilers and is named after founder Tom’s son who grew the business from four broiler sheds in the garden at Church Hill Farm in the 1950s, and paved the way to the business that it is today.

All of our Higher Welfare and Grain Fed chickens are grown by Clive Soanes Broilers and fellow farmers Will Wastling and Mark and Fiona Sewell on farms within 22 miles of the factory in Middleton on the Wolds in East Yorkshire.

We use four generations of arable farming expertise to grow the finest wheat to feed our chickens and use the animal husbandry experience of our farms team to produce exceptionally tasty chicken.

Each farm has a dedicated manager and our Farms Supervisor, Mel and our Technical and Improvement Manager, Ryan oversee and conduct independent audits of all of the chicken growing operations, including liaising with the contract farmers and our veterinary partners.
