We’ve reached final of regional taste award

The team at Church Hill Farm is celebrating after our chicken was shortlisted in the 20th annual Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards.

Our Higher Welfare Chicken has reached the final in the Best Sustainable Product category in what is regarded as the largest food and drink awards programme in the region.

“We’re proud of our commitment to sustainable chicken rearing and to producing chicken that tastes like chicken used to. We’re delighted to have come through the blind tasting round to reach the final of this award that celebrates the best of Yorkshire’s sustainable food and drink producers,” said MD, Ben Lee.

Head Judge, BBC Broadcaster and artisan food expert Nigel Barden said: “Each year, Yorkshire food and drink businesses out-do themselves with the quality of entries and it was no exception in our 20th year of holding these awards. It’s a real pleasure to see Yorkshire businesses continuing to innovate and create the most delicious products.”

Other finalists in the Fix Our Food sponsored category include fellow Yorkshire Wolds businesses Wold Top Brewery and Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and Harrogate business Source Climate Change Coffee.

Winners will be announced at a dinner at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Wednesday, 6th November, when Nigel Barden and chef consultant, Steph Moon will host an evening of champagne, local food and celebration.

Wish us luck!
