We’re delighted to have won Best Environmental Initiative at the Meat and Poultry Processing Awards

A heat recovery project undertaken in conjunction with Beverley based DK Heat Recovery earned us a win in the Environmental Initiative of the Year Award at the Meat and Poultry Processing Awards that were held in Manchester recently.

Our General Manager, Nigel Upson is delighted to have won the award: “We have a very keen environmental policy and energy management policy and have invested heavily in energy saving and renewable technology.

“It’s very rewarding to have our environmental initiatives recognised and applauded by leading industry professionals.”

The award winning entry revealed how the installation of a heat recovery system produces 39,000 litres of free hot water each day; a saving that translates to 92 tonnes of carbon per annum.
