We’re delighted to announce the appointment of two new staff members to support our growing business.
Our team of over 100 people has been boosted by the appointment of Factory Manager, Chris Deakin and Sales Co-ordinator, Tammy McDonald.
Chris joins us from the sea fish industry and is responsible for all aspects of the factory including production, labour, yield and driving continuous improvement.
Of the move, Chris said: “It’s great to work for a family business that has not lost sight of the high standards set by the founder, Tom Soanes over 70 years ago.” Out of work, he enjoys family time, golf and a roast chicken dinner.
Tammy joins us from Yorkshire wholesaler Turner Price and her role includes co-ordinating national and regional sales and providing a sales link between the production and dispatch functions. When’s she’s not at work, she enjoys tinkering with cars and engines and outings with her family.
Our Managing Director, Nigel Upson is delighted to welcome the new members of the team and is looking forward to working with them: “It’s wonderful to welcome our newest team members and we hope this is the start of a long and happy career with Soanes Poultry.
“It’s a very exciting time to join us as there are lots of plans in the pipeline, including phase two of our £1.6million factory expansion. We are always looking at ways to drive our business forward and these new appointments will help us to improve operational efficiencies and exceed our customers’ expectations.”
