We were very proud to learn that our Free Range chicken has reached the final of the Best Fresh Meat category of the Great British Food Awards. Not only that, but the feedback about the taste of the chicken was very well received by our farmer and farms manager. This is what the judges said:
“Although a whole chicken is a seemingly simple product, you can really taste the difference in a bird as good quality as this. The chickens are grown slowly and it’s definitely worth the effort – the meat has a more ‘complex’ and intensely savoury taste to it. Plump, juicy and full of flavour, you also get a remarkable amount of meat on one bird – again thanks to the slow rearing method.”
