Slow cooked pulled chicken


Serves 6 - 8

6 Soanes boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 large onion, chopped

For the sauce

350ml BBQ sauce

1/2 a medium onion, grated (with juice)

1 tbsp rapeseed oil

2 tbsp brown sugar


1. Stir together the sauce ingredients in a slow cooker.

2. Add chicken and turn to coat. Cover and cook on high for 3 - 4 hours or low for 6 - 7 hours. Chicken is done when cooked through and easy to shred.

3. Remove chicken to a chopping board and shred each breast using 2 forks. Place shredded chicken back in the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.

4. Serve in a bun of your choice with coleslaw and potato wedges.
