Congratulations, Mel!

We’re very excited to share the fantastic news that Clive Soanes Broilers’ Poultry and Farms Supervisor, Mel Jackson has reached the final four in the Farm Worker of the Year category of the British Farming Awards.

Clive Soanes Broilers MD, Claire Wright is delighted with the news: “Mel thoroughly deserves to be in the final four of this prestigious competition. She is passionate about animal welfare, hard-working, personable and has a tremendous thirst for knowledge. She’s a real asset to the Clive Soanes Broilers team and we wish her every success.”

Ms Jackson faces competition from fellow finalists, Alison Waugh, Daisy Bank Dairy, Powys; Amanda Thomas, Laylands Farm,North Yorkshire and Jennifer Proudlove, Halton Farms Ltd, Cheshire. She will learn whether she has been successful at an awards ceremony at The Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham on Thursday, 20th October. The category is being judged by last year’s winner, Chloe Shorten; Becci Berry from the Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture; Hannah Binns from Agriconnect and Guy Moreton from MorePeople.
