Congratulations, Claire!

Claire Wright, MD of Clive Soanes Broilers, was invited to speak about her experiences of broiler farming at the Northern Poultry Conference in Harrogate recently and it went down very well.

Claire’s talk covered farms, performance, investment and sustainability, training and welfare and her award-winning team. It was very well received, with feedback including: “It was great for me to see a woman in leadership speaking with such passion and articulation about our industry”, “I really enjoyed your presentation, you delivered it with real authenticity, humility and sincerity” and “Congratulations on your presentation yesterday at the Broiler Conference, it was very informative and showed what a dedicated team you have and how much hard work you have personally dedicated to the business.”

Claire said: “Although I’m from a farming family, I had no experience in the poultry industry until I joined Soanes Poultry, so it’s an honour to be invited to speak to such a knowledgeable audience and to share my experiences of running a broiler business.”

Claire is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant who joined Soanes Poultry as a financial controller in 2016. She earned subsequent promotions and became FD of Soanes Poultry in 2019 and MD of Clive Soanes Broilers in 2021. She was invited to talk at the conference after committee member, Patrick Hook heard her deliver a talk at the NFU Poultry Research Conference last year.
